Data & verification method
Where DanHana's card benefit information comes from, how it is checked, and how recommendations are calculated.
In short
- Issuer official pages are the source of truth; nothing unverifiable enters the catalog.
- Every benefit is re-checked quarterly, and member refresh requests are verified before they change anything.
- Issuer policies can change without notice — always confirm final terms with the issuer before paying.
Data sources
Issuer official pages are the source of truth
Card benefits and offers are taken from pages the issuers publish themselves. A figure that cannot be confirmed on an official page does not enter the catalog.
Member requests trigger a refresh
When a member asks for a benefit refresh, the catalog changes only after the issuer's official page and one cross-check source confirm it. Once changed, the new information reaches every holder's wallet and recommendations right away.
Card offers come from public lists
Every Monday, the public offer lists from Chase and Citi are gathered onto the member-only offers page automatically. Amex offers, whose source page has no stable structure, are curated by hand instead of guessed at. Offers from issuers with no public list cannot be gathered automatically.
How we verify
Every benefit is re-checked quarterly across the whole catalog. When a benefit changes, the change is recorded in the catalog and holders of that card are notified. An offer whose expiry cannot be confirmed is never given a guessed date — it is shown as needing an expiry check.
How recommendations are calculated
Recommendations rank only the cards in your own wallet, per spend category, by real effective earn rate — point values and caps included. When cards tie, the points currency you set as your main one wins. Earn estimates are labeled as estimates, and final terms must be confirmed with the issuer.
Limits — please read
Issuer policies can change without notice. DanHana is not an issuer: it does not enroll you in offers or apply for benefits on your behalf. Enrolling in an offer and claiming a benefit happen on the issuer website, and final terms should be confirmed with the issuer before you pay.
